uterine fibroids, heavy heavy periods
I have a very large uterine fibroid. Been their for 4 or 5yrs now. Of course only option my gyno ever gave me was a hysterectomy. I didnt want surgery at the time due to the fact I didnt have ins but I also have extremely heavy periods. Been having them for 12 years now. My heavy periods started way before I got my fibroids and they are so bad now I cant take it any longer and am condsidering surgery. I am to old to keep changing clothes and having to worry when I get out of the vehicle for the flood. I am getting very bad front and really bad back cramps and I am very very anemic. Take 2 iron pills a day and since I started that 4 mths ago my periods are even worse than before. Hot flashes for 12 years and still not end in sight according to my dr. She said I am still cycling thru. Really cant take much more of 10 day periods (only 3 days are very very heavy) and sometimes 2 weeks late I get it again. Dont know that I have any other options?????
