COMMUNITY: Frequently Asked Questions
Uterus1: Are there usually additional procedures involved with endometrial ablation?
Dr. Doreen Moser: Dr. Moser: With my patients in the 40 to 50 year range, I usually do a tubal ligation at the same time. You just cannot get pregnant with this procedure. We had a patient not too long ago who came in at 25 weeks. She didn’t take a tubal and got pregnant. It was a bad outcome. So I tell my patients either your husband is getting a vasectomy or we do a tubal at the same time.
