Hi Twells...you may have fibroids or adenomyosis, in which case the Novasure won't work well.....there is another endometrial ablation procedure called Hydrothermal Ablation, by a company called Boston Scientific, which can be used in patients with fibroids...results are good....you can inquire about this procedure before opting for the hysterectomy...if you do have a hysterectomy, have it done laparoscopically...much less pain, less blood loss, less hospital time than the abdominal approach....good luck!...Kim, gyn surgical nurse.

hi, consider yourself lucky. Next month will be one yeat for me, and I still have heavy bleeding, although not as severe. I still have blood clots and very bad cramps, which I did not have before. I do not have mucus discharge, but sexual intercourse is out of the question, due to pelvic pain. I'm seriously considering a hysterectomy.

I will be coming up on my 1 year anniversary of the NovaSure procedure. I consider myself a success story. My life is back to normal and I have a real monthly cycle again. I have slight spotting, for a period. For sum reason I have more pms and cramping 1 week prior to my period than before. Very tolerable, though. Big Improvement!!!The only question I have is that I pass alot of clear thick mucas in between my periods. So thick, I can feel it slipping out. Is this normal and will it last? I would really like sum info from woman who have had the procedure and what their results are. There really isn't all that much info out there for long term results or studies on this procedure except for the fact, that it has great success rate. My email is:
